Why You Should Consider Converting to Quartz Rod Products

In your industrial plant, you spend an enormous amount of time and energy trying to melt down silicon to create a host of other products. The problem with the semiconductors and the furnaces you currently have is that they cannot tolerate the high heat required to continuously melt silicon. You have to replace these components often, which gets very expensive.

You should consider converting to and using quartz rod products. Here is why.

Quartz Can Withstand the High Heat

Quartz is a crystalline rock formation that is formed under high heat and pressure deep in the Earth. It is no stranger to hot temperatures, and it holds up until the temperature reaches that which formed it. Thankfully for your silicon-melting tasks, the temperature of melted silicon never gets as high as the temperature needed to destroy quartz. That means that if you swap out your current semiconductor tubing for quartz tubing and replace your furnace boxes with quartz, you can go right on melting silicon and never have to replace the quartz parts.

Quartz Does Not Add Impurities to the Silicon

Most other materials used for semiconductors, tubing and box furnaces tend to leave behind residues in the melted silicon. These impurities greatly affect how the silicon performs when it is transformed into other products.

Quartz, on the other hand, is often ground and polished smooth so that there are no impurities to leave. Even if quartz did leave impurities, much of what makes quartz also makes silicon, the base element being sand. Your melted silicon remains purer than before you traded parts for quartz components. This is a plus in your business because consumers want the purest silicon they can buy for the products they create from it.

You Will Increase Productivity & Profits

The initial cost of quartz rod products seems like a lot, but considering the fact that you will increase productivity and profits with its use more than makes up for the initial cost.

Productivity will increase because you will be able to melt more silicon without stopping and without stopping to replace parts that could not stand up to the heat needed to melt the silicon. Profits will increase because you will be able to produce more melted silicon and products made from the silicon. Swap out parts in your equipment for quartz, try them for a month, and then take a look at your numbers. The numbers, and the quartz products, will speak for themselves.
